Glowlapse

Privacy policy

Effective 24 October 2026

Glowlapse is built so that your photos are yours alone. In short: we don't collect any data about you. There is no account, no server and no analytics, and nothing you put in the app is sent to us or anyone else.

Your photos

Photos you take or import are stored only inside the app on your iPhone. They are not uploaded anywhere. They are included in your iPhone's own iCloud or computer backup if you have backups turned on, which Apple handles under its privacy policy. Deleting a photo, an album or the app removes them from your phone.

Finding your body or face to line photos up (auto-align) happens entirely on your phone using Apple's built-in Vision framework. No image or measurement leaves the device.

Weight and waist

With Glowlapse Pro you can log your weight and waist alongside a photo. These measurements are health information, so we treat them the same way as your photos: they're stored only inside the app on your iPhone, they're never sent to us or anyone else, and they're not shared with Apple Health or any other app. Edit or clear them at any time from the photo, and deleting the photo, its album or the app deletes them too.

Permissions

Purchases

Glowlapse Pro is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether Pro is active; we never receive your name, email or payment details. See Apple's privacy policy.

Ratings

After you save a video, Glowlapse may ask whether you'd like to rate it. That request is shown by Apple, and we don't receive anything from it beyond the public rating and review you choose to leave on the App Store.

Sharing

When you share a video or comparison, it goes only where you send it, through the iOS share sheet. What happens after that is up to the app or person you share it with.

Children

Glowlapse doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children. Glowlapse isn't intended for children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
